I love paper.
Rustic and elegant, it’s where people and nature converge.
I especially love paper to write on, but paper allows for expression in countless forms. You can adorn it, embellish it, paint it, tear it, glue it, gift it, wrap it, or fill it with words that matter.
So when I discovered Farmette, an artisan paper maker, I was immediately intrigued. After all, who doesn’t love a monthly surprise in the mailbox—especially one that’s both useful and beautiful?

Opening the package felt more like unwrapping a carefully chosen gift.
The subscription includes greeting cards, an inspirational message, and small handmade paper circles that can be used as gift tags, place cards, or tiny notes. I’m sure there are many more uses I haven’t thought of yet.
One of my favorite details is the hand-dyed sari ribbon that ties everything together. Farmette hand-dyes each ribbon, and no two seem exactly alike. I absolutely love sari ribbon. I use it in woven crafts, for wrapping presents, in multimedia art—so many wonderful uses.

The presentation was every bit as beautiful as the contents themselves.
What surprised me most was the welcome package included with my first shipment. Along with the subscription items, Farmette included a hand-signed note, a handmade beeswax candle, and other thoughtful extras. It felt less like opening a subscription and more like receiving a gift. The entire package far exceeded my expectations.
I also ordered the keepsake box (at a substantial discount when ordering with the subscription), which has become the perfect place to store ribbons, cards, and other treasures from the subscription. It’s both practical and beautiful—very much in keeping with Farmette’s aesthetic.

If you’re curious about Farmette, I recommend visiting their Instagram account first. It offers a much better sense of the variety of papers, cards, ribbons, and other creations they make. Their website, meanwhile, tells the story behind the company and its handcrafted approach.
I think the subscription would make a wonderful gift.
