Vidalia Chop Wizard

Vidalia Chop Wizard

Few gifts bring joy to everyone. Yet, the Vidalia Chop Wizard does just that. I’ve gifted this bad boy to family and friends more than a dozen times because I know what they don’t—they need this product.

I use the Chop Wizard nearly every day, sometimes for every meal! It’s so easy to store and use, and you can put it in the dishwasher on the top rack, too. It’s so much easier than pulling out anything bulky or in need of power. Often, by the time you do that, you could have chopped the item already.

Years ago, my good friend Debra gifted this when she heard my whining about chopping onions for Thanksgiving. Each year we entertain about 30 guests for a sit-down formal dinner, and, well, I need a lot of veggies and onions! Cutting all those onions made me cry every time and didn’t exactly help me be a gracious chef, even with my cute little floral apron. I suppose I could have followed my nephew’s solution—he cut the onions wearing swimming goggles. Brilliant!

Now, I don’t cry onion tears because the Vidalia is so quick and easy.

I love it so much that I keep a few on hand and when guests inquire, I gift it to them. They all love it!

Note that the Chop Wizard comes with a little comb to clean the grid. I didn’t notice this the first time and threw it away in the packaging. This is essential to cleaning the chopper quickly. Swipe, swipe, swipe and then just toss it in the dishwasher.

Another cool feature is that the chopper also measures your cut items. Just turn the chopper up and your cut items are measured. Love it!

Oh, one more note…

Don’t make the mistake I did by giving your chopper a karate chop. It’s fun, but, um, no. I did this and broke a few. Simply push down hard, always making contact with the chopper.

It’s durable when used correctly. *blush*

UPDATE: The Vidalia is no longer available, but this one is even better. It’s my favorite.  I love that Amazon now offers it in sleek black.

Happy chopping!
