In March 2021, at 59 years old, well into the COVID pandemic, I created a list 50 by 60: 50 Things to do Before I Turn Sixty.
Since creating that list, the world has gone wonky and I stopped blogging for a long while. I’m back. Alas, the world is still wonky, but that just means I’m even more grateful for my journey.
Making lists works much like a vision board. They keep me focused on what I hope to accomplish and help me plan and stay on task. I wonder though, why some items—once important to list—later became unimportant.
I feel angst when I haven’t checked everything off the list. My goal-oriented self bullies my rational self. But then I remember that lists are of my own making. I didn’t assign any deadlines or rules.
Rock on.
